Less than 1,000 of the 11,600 people reported missing after Hurricane Katrina remain on the list.The Louisiana State Health Department reports the number was cut from about 1,900 as of March 13th to 987 as of last night. Data from the Family Assistance Center, formely the Find Family National Call Center, reveals 9,804 people were found alive while 835 people were confirmed deceased. The center expects the list to be cut further over the next few weeks.
